Dr. Cable’s path in medicine is distinguished by an unwavering commitment to excellence and service. He is a proud graduate of the
United States Military Academy at West Point and dedicated 25 years to active service in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Colonel. During his esteemed military career, Dr. Cable not only provided outstanding medical care but also assumed significant leadership responsibilities, culminating in his appointment as the lead ENT and subject matter expert for the U.S. Army, serving as the Consultant to the Army Surgeon General In this critical role, he offered expert guidance and leadership for over one hundred Army ENT physicians worldwide, shaping the quality of care for service members and their families.
His dedication to global health and service was further demonstrated when he served as Chief of Clinical Operations for NATO Healthcare in Afghanistan, an experience for which he was awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal and the NATO Medal.

This intensive fellowship training in Pediatric Otolaryngology provides Dr. Cable with specialized expertise in diagnosing and treating the unique and often complex ear, nose, and throat disorders affecting infants, children, and adolescents—a cornerstone of his practice in Frisco. He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology (Initial certification May 2002, Re-certified June 2011) and holds a current Texas Physician License.

His topics have ranged from pediatric airway management and tympanostomy tube guidelines to the evaluation and management of hearing loss across all ages. He is a prolific author, having contributed over 40 peer-reviewed articles to leading medical journals and authored 4 book chapters, advancing the understanding and treatment of conditions such as pediatric functional endoscopic sinus surgery, laryngomalacia, airway foreign bodies, and hearing loss.
